Makati City. IP Converge Data Center Inc. (IP-Converge), the information technology and telecommunications subsidiary of publicly-listed IPVG Corp. (PSE:IP) has entered into a strategic partnership with Cebu-based connectivity provider ComPoint Networks Inc., marking the initial steps of IP-Converge’s business expansion towards Metro Cebu.
The partnership jump-starts IP-Converge’s expansion outside of Metro Manila and Luzon, via entry into Cebu’s budding enterprise market. “We’re very excited about this alliance,” says Percival C. de los Reyes, IP-Converge Senior Vice President for Managed Data Services. “We see ComPoint Networks as a go-to-market partner for IP-Converge, allowing us to offer an alternative solution to our clients in Cebu.”
ComPoint Networks, which is engaged in the provisioning of connectivity services to enterprises and organizations operating in Cebu, can in turn, leverage on IP-Converge’s Global Internet Access (GIA) service to further enhance its value proposition to its clients with faster and more stable Internet bandwidth. ComPoint Networks operates a well established network infrastructure that provides reliable wireless local loop services with the widest coverage in the province.
ComPoint Network’s Wireless Local Loop (WLL) cuts down deployment time of services to customers from an average of 30 days, to just 7, as it eliminates the laying of cables and other processes involved in provisioning traditional wired Internet services. It also gives businesses that have limited options for fiber connectivity in their location, a viable alternative for connecting to the internet.
IP-Converge’s robust network infrastructure coupled with the wide coverage of ComPoint Network’s wireless local loop facilities, give customers in Cebu a more cost-efficient alternative for Internet services, that’s highly secure and available.
“The combined expertise of IP-Converge and ComPoint Networks creates a reliable yet more affordable alternative for Internet connectivity services in Metro Cebu,” says Jaime Panganiban, Chairman and CEO of ComPoint Networks, Inc. “We welcome this partnership as it presents a great opportunity for the growth of both our businesses and help companies in Cebu reach more markets globally.”
IP-Converge is an Internet data center operator providing a wide array of managed data services and business solutions at international standards. It operates on the principle of true carrier neutrality which gives customers flexibility to choose from among all telecommunications or local loop providers to connect to their global internet platform. Through strategic partnerships with regional telcos, the company has one of the most diversely routed networks in the Philippines with connections to all major cable systems in Asia.
